Life Groups

Life Groups is the small group ministry of Country Acres. Life Groups provide a context for developing Christ-centered personal relationships for the purpose of living our faith in community with others. Here are some of the details.

What will a group meeting look like?

Life Groups will be 6-12 people meeting together twice each month for biblical application, prayer, sharing our burdens, encouraging one another, and serving others.

Who will lead the group?

Each group will select a leader who must attend a brief training seminar led by Pastor Kelly. Leaders will utilize materials provided by the church staff. Each leader will be expected to recruit a leader in training who will prepare to lead a group as new groups form. In mixed gender groups, we expect men to lead. All leaders must be CABC members and are subject to approval by the staff and elders.

When will the group meet?

CABC is building time into our Sunday night schedule for Life Groups. Groups may also choose to meet at other times as schedules allow.

Where will the group meet?

Each group will decide on the details of their meeting such as host homes, food, child care issues, specific times on meeting nights, etc.

How will these groups form?

We encourage people to form these groups around existing or developing relationships within the church. For example, someone you have met in Sunday School or someone you know in choir, etc. If you are new and don’t know where to start, just sign up and we will help you find a group.
