CHILDREN ARE IMPORTANT AT CABC!
Kids have always been important in the kingdom of God. Jesus spent time with them often during His earthly ministry. He held them, talked to them, even used them as examples in His teaching. Jesus certainly valued children. At CABC, we recognize the value of children. They are the future of both the church and society. They have a keen ability to understand spiritual truth with eyes of unquestioning faith. It is our goal to encourage that faith and help it to blossom!
Whether you are a child or an adult, the basic curriculum for the life is the Word of God, the Bible. In our Sunday School, there are Bible study groups for all ages, from preschool through adult. In the children's classes, the Bible is presented in age-appropriate way so that kids will begin to learn God's truth. Our Sunday school classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
TeamKIDS
Begins on Wednesday, September 12, 2007
TeamKIDS is a discipleship program for kids in grades K-6. It is a fun combination of Bible teaching, Bible memory, games, music, and snacks. Each week's activities are built around a specific discipleship lesson. All the activities are designed to reinforce the truth of God in young, impressionable lives. The activities are age-graded so that the truths are taught on each child's level. TeamKIDS meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Children's Choirs (New Day and Time)
This year we are incoporating our Children's Choir in with our TeamKIDS program. From September through May, we offer a graded children's choir program at CABC. The program currently consists of a Younger Children's Choir, for children in K-3rd grades and an Older Children's Choir, for children in 4th - 6th grades. These young singers are taught basic music skills. They prepare for special Spring and Christmas presentations that are performed during a Sunday evening service. Our desire is to help children begin to understand the value of music in worship.
Children's Church
Each Sunday morning during the second half of the worship service, there is a children's church for children age 3-6 years. These children participate with their families in the corporate worship of the church during the praise and worship portion of the service. During the offertory, they are dismissed to Children's Church where they are taught in an age appropriate envoirment.
VBS is held annually at CABC during the summer. It is a week of fun and learning designed to introduce children to Jesus Christ and His Word. The adult staff of VBS pulls out all the stops when it comes to creatively presenting the truth of God's Word to kids during this special week.
