Missions

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy; For You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations of the earth.  (Psalm 67:4)

There are several ways in which Country Acres seeks to obey Christ's mandate to make disciples of all nations.

The Cooperative Program (CP) is the primary funding mechanism for World Missions in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). CABC gives a portion of our annual budget to the CP which supports over 5000 overseas missionaries through the International Mission Board of the SBC. You can learn more about International missions through the SBC by visiting the International Mission Board web site. The CP also helps to fund domestic missions through the North American Mission Board.

Mexico Missions at CABC consists of our mission work in the state of Guerrero,Mexico. We support Seminario Teologico Bautista del Sur (STBS) in San Jeronimito. This seminary is a strategic training center for pastors, church planters, musicians, and missionaries. Through an organization called Operation Mexico Missions, we work with other churches and individuals to support and promote the ministry of STBS. We also have established mission relationships with several local churches and missions in the state of Guerrero. Each year, we send teams to Guerrero to participate in mission projects such as evangelistic visitation, VBS, leadership conferences, and construction projects.

Missionaries Robb and Vicky Hazen are directly supported each month by CABC. Robb is a member of our church who moved to Mexico to attend STBS and to do church planting and pastoral work. After moving there, Robb met Vicky and they were married. Both are graduates of the seminary. Together they are planting a church in Tumbiscatio, Michoacan since the summer of 2007. Robb and Vicky have a son, Isaias, and a daughter, Belen.

Peru missions at CABC consists in church planting projects in southern Peru through an International Mission Board project called REAP South. CABC sends teams each year to work in several villages to evangelize, do Bible studies, and train new believers with a goal of planting churches. CABC has partnered with Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church in Harrison, AR to do this work in Peru.

The Pregnancy Crisis Center of Wichita is another ministry we support at CABC. Of course, the PCC is a pro-life ministry dedicated to helping those who are struggling with a crisis pregnancy. They offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, Bible study, baby clothing and supplies for expectant mothers, and other services. Most importantly, the staff of the PCC are dedicated to sharing the gospel with each of their clients. Each year a number of men and women come to know Christ through their witness and ministry.

/files/Tami's images/dick-n.jpgNathan and Stephanie Dick serve with Village Missions in Neleigh, NE. Village Missions provides pastoral leadership for rural churches which do not have the resources to support pastors. By working with these churches, Village Missions helps to keep the ministry of the gospel alive in communities which might not otherwise have a gospel presence. CABC supports Nathan and Stephanie on a monthly basis to assist their ministry in Nebraska.

In addition to these mission projects, there are several local mission projects each year such as supporting local church planters, State Fair outreaches, Wichita River Festival outreach, etc.
