 TOUCHING THE WORLD THROUGH MISSIONS

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy; For You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations of the earth.  (Psalm 67:4)

There are several ways in which Country Acres seeks to obey Christ's mandate to make disciples of all nations.

/files/My Sample Gallery/CPLOGO_COLOR_HIRES.jpg The Cooperative Program (CP) is the primary funding mechanism for World Missions in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). CABC gives a portion of our annual budget to the CP which supports over 5000 overseas missionaries through the International Mission Board of the SBC. You can learn more about International missions through the SBC by visiting the International Mission Board web site. The CP also helps to fund domestic missions through the North American Mission Board.

Mexico Missions at CABC consists of our mission work in the state of Guerrero, /files/My Sample Gallery/seminary logo_Resized_158x118.jpgMexico. We support Seminario Teologico Bautista del Sur in San Jeronimito. We also have established mission relationships with several local churches and missions in the greater Acapulco area. Each year, we send teams to Guerrero to do evangelistic and church strengthening work. Our efforts have included things like door-to-door visitation, preaching, VBS, church leadership conferences, showing the Jesus Film, and other activities.

/files/Missions stuff/Mexico 2007 001.jpgMissionaries Robb and Vicky Hazen are directly supported each month by CABC. Robb is a member of our church who moved to Mexico to attend the seminary and to do church planting and pastoral work. After moving there, Robb met Vicky and they were married. Both are graduates of the seminary. Together they are planting a  church in Tombiscatio, Michoacan since the summer of 2007.

Of course, the PCC is a pro-life ministry dedicated to helping those who are struggling with a crisis pregnancy. They offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, Bible study, baby clothing and supplies for expectant mothers, and other services. Most importantly, the staff of the PCC are dedicated to sharing the gospel with each of their clients. Each year a number of men and women come to know Christ through their witness and ministry.

/files/Tami's images/dick-n.jpgNathan and Stephanie Dick serve with Village Missions in Panton, Vermont. Village Missions provides pastoral leadership for rural churches which do not have the resources to support pastors. By working with these churches, Village Missions helps to keep the ministry of the gospel alive in communities which might not otherwise have a gospel presence. CABC supports Nathan and Stephanie on a monthly basis to assist their ministry at Panton Community Baptist Church.

/files/Tami's images/foster_family_tch2.jpgSterling and Donna Foster and their family serve as missionaries to Angola through SIM. Through managing a working ranch (Tchincombe Ranch), the Fosters are seeking to plant a church among the Mungambwe people. In addition, they are discipling believers and teaching skills which help people to be productive members of the church and society. CABC assists the Fosters through monthly support. For more info visit http://tchincombe.blogspot.com/
